I can have a smooth overall frame rate, but with stuttering, or I can eliminate the stuttering but have intermittent frame rate decreases. It seems to be a Vista problem, I installed it to see if it happened for me and I had the same problem.

It occurs on both Intel and AMD CPUs of all speeds. Besides, I couldn't even lay FEAR on the lowest settings on my desktop, and it works great on my laptop, so I know thats not the issue either. Frustrating.

It does seem that the other platform games (i.e. It's less I think, but it's still annoying. Never had it had trouble with sound skipping, closing out of game, or suit zoom errors. Run Half-Life 2.

And the game still runs nice, Stevenski Chan Guest Hi there, just lately Half Life 2 keeps freezing up on me with loopind sound & takes ages to return to desktop.

It occurs on all supported versions of Windows including Windows XP Service Pack 2.
