Hard Drive Not Detected By CMOS/BIOS
Not only does the drive fail to appear in MAC OS Disk utility and Windows disk management (regardless of whether I run it internally or via an enclosure), it does not I see disk under Devices and Printers as USB to S-ATA now but everything is empty. was with On Track, 1400 bucks American, all data was recovered. also I did a change in the bios I changed the sata controller from ACHI TO ATA. I also run every kind of disk tests from hirens boot cd and everything seams to be alright, no errors at all. I think it might be a BIOS problem, but I'm not sure. XP explorer and device manager show SATA hard drive I installed but it doesn't show up in BIOS. Some mobos have several SATA port connectors, and some of those are operated by a different mobo chip that requires installation of a driver. Reconnect the power cord to the system itself. If the Hard Drive is detected, the problem is with the SATA cable and has to be replaced.
