The problem is that when I plug it in it is first recognized (at least it sees something) and then it goes away (with the corresponding sound). Reformat the drive with the newer NTFS file system or older FAT32 file system so Windows will be able to recognize it. Re formating as i write this!.. Thanks a lot for given a nice solution .
