HD Blues - Does Not Detect!
Is it possible to use it to do a disaster recovery disk? I had already re-partitioned. Also i already did a Low Level Format to HD, and i also replace MBR just in case… but the problem is not solved. Use it mainly for movies, was copying a file to it and it froze. Blinking light and no detection of the hard drive being plugged in. Hard Disk Not Detected In Bios
I've had this drive for about a year and a half now. These are sometimes referred to as Master and Slave. even is not showing.. Can you claim sanctuary in a church?
So I tool the hard drive and connected it to the external case and linked it with my other desktop, retrieved the files from this drive and formatted the drive. It's the desktop at my folk's house so I'm gonna head home and try to find it. Happy i figured it ou. At that point the bios stopped detecting my second drive and only detected the main drive and my DVD writer. Drive nº1 is the drive that I had already installed. I hope you had backups. But now I have nothing. The next day I turn on the computer to find that it won't load into windows (the msg you get when they can't find your drive). I got a Stop: 0X0000007B (0XF78DA63C,0XC0000034,0X...).
I would also consider a BIOS update. It was running windows vista on an XFX motherboard and western digital SATA hard drive. If not, you might look into Ubuntu Linux-it's quite Windows-like.
